Under Downloads, download and install the latest firmware for Maxx. Create a folder "Airspace" on the SD card of Maxx, and then download the airspace data in XC Tracer format from XContest and save it as airspaces.bin in the airspace folder on the SD card of Maxx.

This is what it looks like when flying towards an airspace. The horizontal and vertical distance to the next airspace is displayed. The airspace is displayed as a moving map, so that you can see immediately if you are approaching an airspace or not. 

As soon as you are in an airspace, the shortest way out of the airspace is shown with 2 arrows like in the picture above. 

In the menu (click shortly and then press the red button again and keep it pressed) you can change the settings for the airspace display under "Airspace Settings".

  • TopViewResolution / 2x2-20x20km / top view size
  • SideViewResolution / +/-200 - 2+/-2000m / side view size
  • AlarmDistanceHorizontal / 50 - 500m / If the horizontal distance to an airspace falls below this value, an alarm will sound and the airspace screen will be displayed. To return to the previous screen, press the red button on the Maxx, or press the red button on the Remote Control, or if set with a SingleTap.
  • AlarmDistanceVertical / 20 - 200m / If the vertical distance to an airspace falls below this value, an alarm will sound and the airspace screen will be displayed. To return to the previous screen, press the red button on the Maxx, or press the red button on the Remote Control, or if set with a SingleTap.
  • AwareDistanceHorizontal / 250 - 2500m / If the horizontal distance to an airspace falls below this value, an alarm will sound and the airspace screen will be displayed for a few seconds. After that it will automatically switch back to the previous screen.
  • AwareDistanceVertical / 40 - 1000m / If the vertical distance to an airspace falls below this value, an alarm sounds and the airspace screen is displayed for a few seconds. After that it will automatically switch back to the previous screen.
  • AwareShowTime / 4 - 12s / During this time period the airspace screen is displayed in case of an Aware event, and when this time has elapsed the previous screen is displayed again.
