CE and FCC Certification
Every XC Tracer Maxx III and Mini V carries the FCC and CE marks. To most pilots they look like fine print. To us, they're proof of something you can actually feel in the air. Two devices, one line: The image below shows the raw tracklogs of two Maxx III, flown on the same pilot at the same time — straight from the devices, no post-processing. What looks like a single line… …is in fact two. Two independent devices, recording almost exactly the same track — you only notice the

3D Airspace and Terrain
We've finished a new Maxx III firmware that displays airspaces and terrain in 3D. Under Screen Options in the menu, you can choose whether airspaces are shown in 2D as before or in the new 3D view with terrain. The update rate of the 3D view is 0.5–1 Hz. It can't go faster due to the hardware – this is not a bug. AirspaceCeiling sets the altitude up to which airspaces are displayed. Airspaces whose lower limit lies above this value are hidden. This keeps the display from bein

Maxx III Thermal Hotspots
A firmware update for Maxx III is now available for download, featuring the integration of KK7 Thermal Hotspots on the wind screen. The likelihood of thermals is indicated by black dots of varying sizes. The larger the black dot, the more frequent or stronger the thermals have been in the past at the same time of day, in the same month, and at that location. This allows you to see at a glance where the next thermal might be. The integration directly on the wind screen offers

Maxx III / Swiss Quality
The Maxx III display is not only perfectly readable – it's also extremely robust. In our short video, we show you what we mean: a solid punch, and the display remains completely undamaged. This is no accident. We've been working for years to improve our production, constantly seeking new solutions to enhance quality, and building numerous prototypes. The result can be seen in the Maxx III: the combination of excellent readability, highly robust mechanical construction, and lo

Maxx III Thermal Hotspots
Before the end of 2025, a firmware update for the Maxx III will be released, featuring integration of KK7's Thermal Hotspots on the wind display. Thermal probability is shown through varying dot sizes. The larger the black dot, the more frequently or strongly thermals occurred historically at that location during the same time of day and month. We're currently testing. Once the firmware is released, both the firmware update and hotspot data can be easily updated through the w
